Have you noticed that the Apple iOS software update service on iTunes has been rather unreliable today?

Sporadic connection problems connecting to the iTunes software update server?

As reported by MacRumours this afternoon, several users of the iTunes iOS update service have been experiencing connection problems throughout the day. This has lead to another bout of the contagious iOS update syndrome; will it be sooner rather than later? Guilty as charged... see more in my previous blog.

The sporadic nature of the servers suggests that Apple have an issue with their load-balancing. I can only hope the iOS 4.2 update will perform more reliably when released!

This is iPhone Backup Extractor, think of it as a "personal forensics" utility. It's pretty awesome.
